Programmed Energy & Resources are seeking an experienced Contract Support Superintendent to lead our workforce delivery function across mining, operations, shutdown and projects. This role is responsible for managing a team of recruitment/mobilisation officers and ensuring the safe, timely and cost-effective mobilisation of personnel to site.

You will play a key role in workforce planning, shutdown readiness and operational delivery, working closely with operations teams and clients to forecast labour demand and execute high-volume mobilisation campaigns.

This is a leadership role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced mining environment and can balance people management with strong commercial and organisational capability. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical function within a growing mining services business and lead a team that directly supports operational success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the regional recruitment and mobilisation team
  • Plan and deliver workforce requirements for mining operations and shutdowns
  • Drive workforce planning and maintain a shutdown-ready candidate pool
  • Prepare and manage workforce cost estimates and budgets
  • Ensure mobilisation compliance and efficient onboarding processes
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Adhere to policies and procedures while driving innovative operational strategies

About you:

  • Background in recruitment and mobilisation (required)
  • Mining industry experience is essential
  • Strong workforce planning and organisational skills
  • Financially sound with experience managing costs and budgets
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by example
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
